Trap Door Theatre’s resident graphic designer, Michal Janicki, is now part of the Chicago Design Archive!
The archive is a collection of historically important design as well as a living, growing record of the vibrant Chicago design scene from the 1920s onward.
Michal Janicki is a Chicago-based designer, film maker, front-end programmer, and educator. He currently works at IDEO, a global design consultancy, and has been a company member at Trap Door Theatre for over a decade. Previously he has worked at Morningstar, Inc, Samata and VSA Partners. He runs a private practice, Studiobema, which allows him to collaborate with his friends in service of arts, legal and cultural organizations. His work has won awards and has been published in design magazines, and exhibited in museums. His films have been shown at experimental film festivals throughout the world. He is most proud of being a teacher at University of Illinois at Chicago and Columbia College.
