Matt Sandbank (Creator/Performer) is a nationally-touring shadow puppeteer based in Durham, NC.  His performances have awakened a sense of wit and wonder at schools, libraries, museums, and festivals for the past ten years. He has performed at the 2013 Nashville International Puppet Festival, the 2015 San Antonio International Children’s Puppetry Festival, and the Puppeteers of America 2019 National Festival. His work has been featured at Dlectricity 2021: Detroit’s Nighttime Exhibition of Light and Art and at the 2023 Ann Arbor Summer Festival (A2SF).  His absurdly-comic, expertly-manipulated collection of short stories, “Still Life,” is a demonstration of the shadow theatre at its most delightfully cheeky.
